School Meals
Cooked meals are prepared in the school kitchen on the premises. They offer children a wide variety of healthy foods. There is a vegetarian choice available each day as well as the main choice. We also offer a variety of sandwiches and jacket potatoes. We have recently added a salad bar to encourage children to make healthy choices. (check out the menu at the bottom of the page to see what is available.)
The meals are eaten in the hall and the current cost is£2.50 a day or 12.50 a week. We ask that all dinner money should be paid at the start of the week via ParentPay.
Information about free school meals can be obtained from Revenues and Benefits at the Civic Centre on 0191 4333729.
Children can bring their own packed lunches. They are also eaten in the hall. As part of our healthy school programme we ask that children don't bring chocolate or fizzy drinks to school.
Sweets are not allowed at school. Children in the Foundation stage and key stage 1 are provided with fruit at break time as part of the government's national scheme.
Healthy school dinners and healthy packed lunches all round!!!
